This Week's Shopping Trip

On Tuesdays my mother-in-law comes over to spend time with the little one and give me time to go do some grocery shopping or any other activity that I might need to complete.

This week I went to both Dillon's and Aldi's, and I only spent $20 and change at each store for twenty items from each store.  Only spending about $1 per product is my current goal for my shopping trips.

I was happy to see that Dillon's had their flour on sale for $1 per bag, so I was able to stock up for future baking days.  They also had a good deal on their sugars.  The KC Masterpiece I was able to pick up for 50 cents per bottle.  Not shown are four candy bars that I picked up because I had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon.

Braum's Special

This week at Braum's they have their ice cream on sale 4 for $10.  Also, if you spend over $15, you get a free package of cookies or brownies. 

At the Braum's located at 21st and Amidon, their milk is still $2.39 a gallon (I know it is $2.79 a gallon at other locations) and their eggs are 99 cents.

Clear Lakes Cafe

My mom and I tried a new place for breakfast yesterday.  Clear Lakes Cafe is located west of Amidon on 21st St.  It is just west of Braum's on the south side of the road.  It is a simple cafe, but the food was good and it wasn't crowded at 9:00 on a Saturday morning which is a definite plus.  I had the Belgium waffle.  It was crisp and cooked just right.  My mom had the French toast and said it was good too.  Other items on the menu included pancakes, omelettes, and biscuits and gravy.  The cafe also serves lunch.

If you are ever on the north side of town and are hungry for breakfast or lunch, you might want to give it a try.

Milk at Braum's Is Even Cheaper!

Today when I bought milk from Braum's it was only $2.19 a gallon!

Grapes at Walmart

FYI, grapes are 88cents per pound at Wal-Mart.  This price includes both green and red grapes.  The one's I bought yesterday were really good and looked far better than the ones they were selling at Target recently.

Also, milk is also still $2.59 per gallon at Braum's.  I saw that Wal-Mart brand milk was $3.55 per gallon. 

Chicken Breasts at Sam's West

My mom and I were at the Sam's on the west side to day and they had Tyson natural chicken breasts for $1.66/lb.  I do not know how long the price will be good for, but I thought I would share.

Good Deal on Frozen Meals

Target this week as the Weight Watcher Smart Ones frozen meals on sale (I know that they are not great to eat everyday, but they are better than fast food).  The prices are between $1.89 to $2.25.  If you buy 10 meals, you can get a $5 Target gift card plus some of the meals have a coupon for $4 off of 10 Smart One products.  Depending on the meals that you buy, they work out to about $1 a box.
